Did they learn nothing from Dan Rather and CBS?

This is the kind of thing that happens when one doesn't check their facts. Shamefully, needless. I am sure they were just salivating with glee over this unsubstantiated fodder.

How the hell do we recover from this? Disgustingly uncalled for...
