"Thou call’st me dog before thou hadst a cause, But since I am a dog, beware my fangs."
-- William Shakespeare

"The dog barks and the caravan passes."
-- Arab Proverb

"The dog barks and the convoy blows up."
-- Queen of the Land's intepretation of Arab Proverb

Wait 'til you see what those sick bastards are doing now. The Flame of Cheshire would NOT approve!

Leave it to the U.S. Army to show them who it should be done!

Stay cool and safe!

**UPDATE**

It seems that the above link is no longer any good. One has to pay now to view. It was basically about how the terrorists are packing dogs with bombs... Sick, sick, sick...

This is my kinda Eucharist!

"Is there a parson much bemused in beer ..."
-- Alexander Pope

"A compliant local judge discovered that it was lawful to take what drink you chose with a meal, and the result was that, as Roosevelt describes it, a man by eating one pretzel might drink seventeen beers."
-- William Roscoe Thayer

"The cup of blessing that we bless, is it not a sharing in the blood of Christ? The bread that we break, is it not a sharing in the body of Christ?"
-- New Testament, 1 Corinthians 10:16

So, I just had to put this up because I thought it was hilarious. If any of you paid attention, you would know that I am Catholic and do love the baby G. Some may find the following offensive or blasphemous, but people... we all need to lighten up!

BTW... I believe totally that one could use anything for Communion. I don't know about you all, but my God is powerful enough to Transubstatiate anything... Like a double stuffed Oreo and milk! Yummy!

Anyhoo...

Stay cool and safe!

Another Brilliant PETA Campaign...

"Despicable means used to achieve laudable goals renders the goals themselves despicable."
'Nanuka' Notebook I, vol. 17, p. 8

"Common hypocrites pass themselves off as doves; political and literary hypocrites pose as eagles. But don’t be fooled by their eagle-like appearance. These are not eagles, but rats or dogs."
'Nanuka', vol. 5, p. 101

-- Anton Pavlovich Chekhov

You all know how I loathe PETA. Well, they are at it again with their outrageous, terrorist like tactics. It seems they decided to have a little rally in Connecticut, where they compared animal abuse with slavery and torture. It seems that the NAACP took quite an exception to it.

I hope they rip them a new one... I hate those fuckers.

Stay cool and safe and treat you and your family to a bucket of KFC!

HHmm... I guess I like some depressing prose...

"Being Irish, he had an abiding sense of tragedy which sustained him through temporary periods of happiness."
-- William Butler Yeats

Well, I really didn't have anything to post today, so I thought I would post my two favorite poems. Maybe my subjects would like to feel part of a swanky literary Salon. As I was placing them below, it occurred to me that they are really maudlin and depressing... Ah well, must be the Irish in me...

Stop all the clocks

Stop all the clocks, cut off the telephone,
Prevent the dog from barking with a juicy bone,
Silence the pianos and with muffled drum
Bring out the coffin, let the mourners come.

Let aeroplanes circle moaning overhead
Scribbling on the sky the message He Is Dead,
Put crepe bows round the white necks of the public doves,
Let the traffic policemen wear black cotton gloves.

He was my North, my South, my East and West,
My working week and my Sunday rest,
My noon, my midnight, my talk, my song;
I thought that love would last for ever: I was wrong.

The stars are not wanted now: put out every one;
Pack up the moon and dismantle the sun;
Pour away the ocean and sweep up the wood.
For nothing now can ever come to any good.

-- W. H. Auden

When You Are Old

WHEN you are old and gray and full of sleep
And nodding by the fire, take down this book,
And slowly read, and dream of the soft look
Your eyes had once, and of their shadows deep;

How many loved your moments of glad grace,
And loved your beauty with love false or true;
But one man loved the pilgrim soul in you,
And loved the sorrows of your changing face.

And bending down beside the glowing bars,
Murmur, a little sadly, how love fled
And paced upon the mountains overhead,
And hid his face amid a crowd of stars.

-- William Butler Yeats

If you have a poem to share, you are welcome to do so!

Dur de dur de dur....

"I’m rather bored by the subject — meaning me. It’s a sort of a yoke, but at times you know, a yoke is a kind of comfort. And it’s always there."
-- Laurence Olivier

"I'd look in the mirror and go well i'm not gonna shag me"
-- Eddie Izzard

"Due to the number of people bored last Sunday, next Sunday will be cancelled."
-- PA Announcement from M*A*S*H*

So, I am bored and restless... I just don't even want to take the time to write anything ...

I could write about how lovely it was to see all the women at King Faud's burial... oops.. that's right, they weren't allowed.. they had to have their own private little Majlis hen party...

Or I could talk about the conversation the Prince Consort and I had last night about Imperial Hubris...

Or I could talk about how I had a ridiculous craving for a nice juicy steak when I read that Chris "Listen to my music and want to blow your brains out" Martin of Coldplay and Carrie Underwood "Deviled Ham" were voted sexiest vegetarians by PETA, those animal murdering hypocrites...

Or how GOP and the City has a hilarious clip of Castro going "Ass over tea kettle", as the Old Fox would say. The post that this is on is a pisser too!

Or I could complain about how the Marquess of McDonalds aka Drama seduced me away from a healthy day of eating by providing me and the Prince with some crack cocaine from our favorite Dealer...

Or I could just could continue to whine here... But I just don't have the energy for even that...

So... Stay cool and safe... *GGGRRR*

P.S. WooHoo! Yoan is fine! A new post! So great to read it and to know that he is okay! Thanks for taking the time Yoan!

Let's not get our knickers in a twist!

"The King said to his son: 'Enough of this!
The Kingdom's yours to finish as you please.
I'm getting out tonight. Here, take the crown.'"
Robert Frost

"Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain."
The Wizard of OZ

So, It seems that King Faud has finally gone to his final rest with Allah. The papers and on-line news sources are filled with it. I see that the price of oil went up to $61 per barrel in answer to this "shocking" news.

Folks, they are just screwing with us again. King Faud has basically not made a decision in the past decade, due to a debilitating stroke. His half-brother, Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdel Aziz, who has ruled in his stead for the past 10 years, will soon take on the Monarchy officially. This should be a relatively smooth transition, no matter what anyone is telling you.

I say we move Santa's reindeer to a nice little deer park and start that ANWAR drilling. Survival of the fittest... Let's not forget about the oil that lay dormant in the Gulf of Mexico.

All you tree huggers, don't get into a tizzy now. I totally support finding alternative energy resources. Keep throwing money at those who will do the discovering, but, in the meantime, we should refuse to be held hostage by the oil cartels. We need a little revolution for ourselves!

By taking that issue away, the entire dynamics of the world would change. If we want to defeat terrorism then this would be a major step. Let's not forget where those cowards are getting their funds to fuel their insanity.

Anywhoo...

Stay cool and safe!
